| "Mr. and Mrs. Monster Meat Carving Set" is a limited edition knife and fork in silverplate and stainless steel. These eccentric utensils continue the artist's interest and exploration of utilitarian domestic objects. The carving set is an amalgam of two juxtaposed elements. The upper torsos are a composite of male and female children's super hero toys and their legs are a metaphor for those of a French Provincial chair. The carving set is fabricated by Braganti Silversmith in Florence, Italy. The two, sculptural copper bases are made by the artist in his own studio. This edition, which has been published by Artes Magnus, is limited to 100 and is signed and numbered on the base. |
