JOSEPTH KOSUTH has created a 42-piece dinner service entitled Forme Applique (Historique), that consists of six unique patterns which reflect the 200-year history of Limoges’ porcelain production. All original decoration has been removed and replaced with simply the name of the pattern and the date when the service first appeared. This information is placed on each of the seven pieces of the place setting in the artist’s chosen typeface, Copperplate Gothic Bold Extended.
The dinner service and set of buffet plates are published by ARTES MAGNUS and manufactured in Limoges. They come in two versions: black letters on white porcelain and platinum letters on black porcelain. Each color version for the dinner service is limited to an edition size of 75 and is signed and numbered. Each color version for the buffet plates is limited to an edition size of 200 and is signed and numbered.
